Sunday Open Ice

This session aimed at providing additional ice time for our STAR skaters.  Skaters will be required to book a private lesson with a coach in order to register for the season or as a drop-in as no club or group coaching is provided.

This session is geared towards private coaching to learn programs, progress through additional assessments, receive private coaching and to work independently on your current goals.

This session does NOT include coaching provided by the club. A private lesson MUST be arranged with a coach before registering.

Private & Semi-Private Lessons

Private lessons are an additional fee as set by each coach and are only available on our Sunday Open Ice session.  Private lessons can be in 1:1 ratio, pairs or small group format but are not typically more than 3 skaters to 1 coach.  These lessons are billed separately by the coach to the skater and paid directly to the coach by the skater.

Skaters who wish to compete or test with a personalized program must do so through a private lesson on Sunday Open Ice.  Options to drop-in for the specific purpose of learning the program is available in uplifter.  Please speak with a coach to ensure availability.

Programs

Beginning at STAR 2, programs are used for both the freeskate assessment and competition events.  This program is choreographed to a piece of music and includes required jumps, spins and foot work elements.  Skaters will have 2 options for a freeskate program;

  1. Club Provided Program at no additional charge.  As the program is provided by and paid for by the club, multiple skaters may be testing and competiting to the same program.
  2. Personalized Program choreographed for the skater at an additional fee as determined by the coach.  This option REQUIRES private lessons booked with a coach.

Any skaters wishing to have a showcase program (fun program to compete with as a solo or small group), will also be required to book it as a private lesson with a coach.
